Godox X1R-C Receiver

Introduction

The Godox X1R-C is a dedicated receiver for Godox’s 2.4GHz X wireless system. It is compatible with most Canon EOS cameras that support E-TTL II and fitted with a Godox X1T-C radio transmitter and suitable for Canon speedlites that don’t have built in wireless such as the 580EX II or the 430EX II. The receiver supports E-TTL II, high-speed sync, flash exposure compensation, and flash exposure lock, among other settings.

The unit itself is well made but the LCD panel is small and buttons are fiddly. Access to the locking wheel is also limited and on a number of occasions I’ve found it difficult to unscrew.

Compatibility

The Godox X1R-C is compatible with most Canon EOS cameras when a separate X1T-C transmitter is fixed on the camera’s hotshoe. The receiver works with Canon speedlites such as the 600EX-RT, 580EX II and 430EX II.
